Emerald Waters Hormone & Weight Loss Clinic provides medical weight loss treatments and hormone replacement therapies, for both men and women. Medical Weight Loss

No weight loss journey is the same. A customized treatment plan is essential to your success in losing weight and keeping it off.  At Emerald Waters Hormone & Weight Loss Clinic, we present personalized and comprehensive solutions based on health history, current diet and exercise, and your overall goals.

Our solutions include diet and exercise plans in addition to medication therapies such as semaglutide, tirzepatide, phentermine, and other vitamins/supplements.

Hormones play a vital role in maintaining optimal health and well-being in men and women. As we age, hormone levels naturally decline, leading to a variety of symptoms and health issues.

Our bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can help restore hormone balance, improving reproductive health, bone density, muscle growth, cognition, cardiovascular health, and more.

Founder / Owner / Provider

Jennifer Troyer is an Arley, Alabama native who was raised on the stunning shores of Lewis Smith Lake.

Her healthcare journey began in 2004 as a massage therapist for chiropractic patients and later venturing to Pensacola, Florida. During her time in Pensacola, Jennifer gained experience in various healthcare settings including, skilled nursing facilities, life insurance, pain management, and chiropractic and decided to continue her education at Fortis Institute to become a registered nurse.

After obtaining her nursing degree, Jennifer held roles in home healthcare, progressing from a case manager to team manager, and ultimately a clinical liaison to Baptist Hospital. FAQs

Have questions? We’ve got answers! Discover some of our most frequently asked questions.

  • No, we do not accept insurance because most insurance companies do not cover hormone therapy or weight loss and wellness services. You may request a superbill if you would like to submit for insurance reimbursement on your own. You may also use your insurance for labs, as they are ordered outpatient to a lab of your choosing. For medications, you may use your FSA or HSA card.

  • The most common symptoms of a possible hormone imbalance for women include: weight gain, hot flashes and night sweats, mood swings, low sex drive, poor mental clarity, poor sleep, fatigue, and vaginal dryness.

The most common symptoms of a possible hormone imbalance for men include: loss of muscle mass, low sex drive, irritability, poor mental clarity, anxiety, and decreased drive or ambition.

  • While it is important to obtain labs for all of our hormone patients to create a baseline and monitor beginning, during, and after treatment; it is not the sole indicator of treatment.

  • Yes, unless there is a clear contraindication to not use bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). This is why a comprehensive assessment of both personal health history and family health history is performed first.

  • Bio-identical hormones have the same molecular structure as the hormones produced by your body. Whereas synthetic hormones (ex. birth control), are chemically altered to mimic the effects of natural hormones.

Synthetic hormones tend to have more side effects than bio-identical hormones. Bio-identical hormones are more natural and customizable, which provides a smoother regulation and balance in the body.
